I love my media friends. They are really messengers of light. True story tellers. Their God-given purpose is to spread and share stories to inspire, educated and entertain. One of my favorite media friends is Kelly Wright. He is the consummate journalist professional and a man that walks his talk – and a minister of the Gospel. Love him. Check out his beautiful music. Here’s his first Christmas album, and his commentary:
As a little boy, Christmas was that wonderful time of year that was filled good tidings of joy. My mother seemingly captured all of the spirit of Christmas cheer in the decorations that adorned our home. The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of Christmas through the music that she played on the stereo. She had a complete collection of holiday music from Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cold, Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, The Temptations, and so many more musical artists that helped bring in the yuletide feelings throughout our house.
From those precious memories I have always been inspired to record my own collection of Christmas songs. I just love performing Christmas carols and the festive love songs of the season. So, I hope you’ll enjoy “Christmas Joy,” my first album dedicated to the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth and the eternal hope and salvation he brings. May the songs like Go Tell It On The Mountain, Joy To The World, Silent Night, This Christmas, and The Christmas Song help bring you into the presence of love, peace, and joy.
